Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk Almond milk can be used as a substitute.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir well to blend all ingredients.
  3. Fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
  5. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  6. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and pour the batter into it, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve with butter or honey.
