Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and optional cotton candy flavoring.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Don’t overmix!
- Gently fold in the crushed cotton candy and colorful sprinkles.
Baking
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, don't overbake. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months, separating layers with parchment paper.
