Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and optional cotton candy flavoring.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Don’t overmix!
  6. Gently fold in the crushed cotton candy and colorful sprinkles.
Baking
  1. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, don't overbake. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months, separating layers with parchment paper.
