Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 1 box box of brownie mix Use your favorite homemade brownie recipe if preferred.
Ice Cream and Toppings
  • 1 quart cookies and cream ice cream Feel free to substitute with other flavors.
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce For drizzling.
  • 10-15 pieces Oreos or chocolate cookies, crumbled For topping and layering.
  • 2 cups whipped cream Can be store-bought or homemade.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe. Bake, cool, and cut into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large glass trifle bowl (or individual serving cups), start by placing a layer of brownie pieces at the bottom.
  3. Next, scoop a generous portion of cookies and cream ice cream over the brownie layer.
  4. Drizzle a sweet layer of chocolate sauce over the ice cream, allowing it to seep into the layers beneath.
  5. Add a fluffy layer of whipped cream, creating a nice cushion above the ice cream.
  6. Continue this layering process—brownies, ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream—until you've used up all your ingredients or reached the top of your bowl.
  7. Finish the trifle with a generous sprinkle of crumbled Oreos or chocolate cookies for that extra crunch.
  8. Place the trifle in the freezer for about an hour to set before serving.

Notes

The trifle can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. It’s best when served fresh. Avoid reheating as it may alter the texture of the ice cream.
