Preparation

Baking

- Remove from the oven and let the brownie layer cool completely in the pan.
Making the Cookie Dough Topping
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, followed by the heat-treated flour and salt until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Assembly
- Once the brownie base has cooled, spread the cookie dough over it in an even layer.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, alternating with milk.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
Finishing Touch
- Spread the chocolate frosting over the chilled cookie dough layer.
- Cut the cake into squares, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
Allow the brownie base to cool completely before adding the cookie dough for best texture. Customize with nuts or different chocolates if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
