  • 3 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
  • 1 cup marshmallows Use mini marshmallows for easier melting
  • 1/4 cup butter Can substitute with margarine if needed
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor
  • Sprinkles Optional for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by greasing a baking tray with a little butter or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until completely melted but do not let it brown.
  3. Stir in the marshmallows and keep stirring until they are completely melted and gooey.
  4. Once marshmallows are melted, remove from heat and mix in the Fruity Pebbles cereal until evenly coated.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and mix again to incorporate.
  6. Press the mixture firmly into the greased or lined pan using a spatula or your hands.
  7. If using, sprinkle the sprinkles over the top of the pressed mixture for extra fun.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes. Once set, cut into bars or squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. If freezing, wrap tightly to avoid freezer burn. Allow to sit at room temperature to regain chewy texture before consuming.
