Preparation
- Start by greasing a baking tray with a little butter or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until completely melted but do not let it brown.
- Stir in the marshmallows and keep stirring until they are completely melted and gooey.
- Once marshmallows are melted, remove from heat and mix in the Fruity Pebbles cereal until evenly coated.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix again to incorporate.
- Press the mixture firmly into the greased or lined pan using a spatula or your hands.
- If using, sprinkle the sprinkles over the top of the pressed mixture for extra fun.
- Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes. Once set, cut into bars or squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. If freezing, wrap tightly to avoid freezer burn. Allow to sit at room temperature to regain chewy texture before consuming.
