Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and melted butter until smooth.
- Stir in the cooled brewed coffee, and while whisking, add in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the baking dish before slicing.
- If using, spread the coffee-flavored frosting on top before slicing.
Serving

Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze individually for up to three months. Reheat at 300°F (150°C) for about 10 minutes to restore texture.
