Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cooled brewed coffee, and while whisking, add in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Let cool completely in the baking dish before slicing.
  3. If using, spread the coffee-flavored frosting on top before slicing.
Serving

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze individually for up to three months. Reheat at 300°F (150°C) for about 10 minutes to restore texture.
