Preparation and Baking
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, sugar, salt, and spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg). Stir until smooth.
- Add the eggs into the pumpkin mixture one at a time, blending thoroughly until smooth.
- Place the prepared pie crust into a pie dish, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
- Carefully pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 40-45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Sugar substitutes can include honey or maple syrup; adjust spices as desired. To avoid a soggy crust, consider baking crust alone for 10 minutes before adding filling. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 4-5 days or freeze for 2 months.
