  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy) Use creamy or crunchy based on preference.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Bring to room temperature for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1 cup chocolate kisses Ensure they are halal-certified.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while preparing the dough.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add baking soda, salt, and flour, mixing until just combined.
  4. Form one-inch balls of dough and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  6. Remove from oven and gently press a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. Allow cooling for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Once cooled, enjoy the cookies with family or save some for later.

Notes

Chill dough in the fridge if too sticky. Store in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze for up to three months.
