Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and 3 cups of cold milk. Use a whisk or electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
Layering
- In a 9x13-inch dish or a trifle bowl, start by placing a layer of Classic Golden Oreos on the bottom. You can break some cookies if they don't quite fit.
- Next, add a layer of sliced bananas over the Oreos.
- Spoon a generous portion of the pudding mixture over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
- Repeat the layering process—Oreos, bananas, pudding—until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of pudding on the top.
- Finally, spread Cool Whip or whipped cream generously over the top layer of pudding. If desired, add extra Golden Oreos on top for a nice garnish.
Chill
- Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set before serving.
Notes
For best results, slice bananas just before layering or toss them in a tiny sprinkle of lemon juice to prevent browning. Enjoy the pudding fresh, and it's recommended to keep leftovers layered for best presentation.
