Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature Ensure butter is soft but not melted.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Add one at a time.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto a baking sheet, leaving space between each for spreading.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Keep cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months. To reheat, microwave for 10-15 seconds or bake at 350°F for 5 minutes.
