- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure a nice, even bake.
- Grease a pie dish or a baking pan with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the milk, vanilla extract, and salt, continuing to blend until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour, whisking until the mixture is free of lumps and has a smooth texture.
- Place the pitted cherries in the prepared baking dish, then pour the custard batter over them, making sure they are evenly distributed.
- Bake in your preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden and a knife inserted comes out clean.
