Ingredients

For the Biscuit Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, blend the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and mix until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into small squares or use a cookie cutter for fun shapes.
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  2. As you remove each biscuit bite, toss them in the mixture to fully coat.
Baking
  1. Place the coated bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they are lightly golden.
  3. Let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and watch them disappear!

Notes

Store any uneaten bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Freeze leftovers in a zip-top bag for up to a month. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
