Ingredients

For the Blondies
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  5. In another bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Frosting
  1. While the blondies are baking, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  2. Once the blondies are done baking, cool them in the pan for 10 minutes before icing with the cream cheese mixture.
Serving
  1. Let the blondies cool completely before cutting them into squares. Serve warm for the best experience.

Notes

For a healthier option, use coconut sugar instead. Blondies are best slightly underbaked. Add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
