Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 slices thick-cut bread Use challah or brioche for best texture.
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • Maple syrup for serving For drizzling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut each slice of bread into three strips to create finger-friendly sticks. Set aside.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, making sure each side is coated but not soaked for too long.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil to coat the surface evenly.
  5. Cook the coated bread sticks in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown, ensuring not to overcrowd the skillet.
  6. Remove the sticks from the skillet once cooked and continue the process until all sticks are done. Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.
