Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk (whole or skim)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
  • to taste additional cinnamon and sugar for topping (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until well mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until no dry flour remains. Be careful not to over mix.
  5. Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix additional cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle it over the batter. Swirl if desired.
  3. Bake for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, slice your cinnamon bread and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and consider adding nuts or dried fruit to the batter. Store in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days or freeze for longer storage.
