Ingredients
  

Batter Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Apple Topping
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • to taste Powdered sugar for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, add the sliced apples, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter over the cooked apples in the skillet.
  2. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove the skillet from the oven, dust with powdered sugar, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use Halal-friendly substitutes as needed. For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with almond or oat milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
