Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lime juice, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat a grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Place it on the grill or in the skillet, skin-side down.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the heat. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the top.
- Plate your salmon and enjoy the burst of flavors in every bite!
Notes
Don’t skip the marinade for maximum flavor! Use fresh ingredients where possible. Balance the heat with crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Avoid overcooking the salmon.
