Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer, covering the baking sheet fully.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the brown sugar until it becomes smooth and slightly bubbling. Allow it to cook for about 3 minutes.
- Carefully pour the hot caramel over the arranged crackers, using a spatula to coat them evenly.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 5-6 minutes, watching closely so the caramel doesn’t burn.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture over the hot caramel.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
