Preparation
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of butter to a boil over medium heat. Add the salt and stir until well combined.
- Once the mixture reaches a boil, reduce the heat and stir in the flour quickly until a dough forms. Cook it for an additional minute on low heat, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes. Gradually add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Cooking
- While you prepare the dough, heat oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Use a spoon or piping bag to drop small balls of dough into the hot oil. Fry them until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the Churro Balls from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon in a shallow dish. Roll the warm balls in the sugar-cinnamon mixture to coat them evenly.
- Enjoy your homemade Churro Balls while they’re warm for the best texture and flavor!
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are Halal-compliant. Adjust the dough as needed and maintain frying temperature for the best results.
