  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed The riper, the better for sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Natural peanut butter is recommended.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Optional ingredient.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the peanut butter, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined and creamy.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until no dry spots remain.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator. For freezing, wrap slices tightly and place in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
