Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Add the peanut butter, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until no dry spots remain.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator. For freezing, wrap slices tightly and place in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
