  • 4 pieces Halal chorizo sausages You can substitute with turkey or beef sausage if needed.
  • 4 pieces French bread or baguette Split lengthwise.
  • ½ cup Chimichurri sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup sautéed vegetables Use vegetables like onions and bell peppers.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. If using charcoal, allow it to ash over until glowing white.
Cooking
  1. Place the chorizo sausages on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  2. While the sausages are cooking, place the split French bread on the grill for about 2-3 minutes, cut side down, until lightly toasted.
  3. In a separate pan, sauté your chosen vegetables over medium heat until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Assembly
  1. Once everything is cooked, place a sausage inside each piece of toasted bread, top with sautéed vegetables, and drizzle generously with Chimichurri sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve hot and enjoy your Choripán!

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and warm for about 10 minutes.
