Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (about 15-20 cookies) Crushed for layering
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz) Can substitute with vanilla pudding if desired
  • 2 cups milk For mixing with pudding
  • 1 container whipped topping (8 oz) For creamy texture
  • as needed Gummy worms For decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos: In a food processor or a plastic bag, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Set aside about one cup for topping later.
  2. Prepare the Pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and the milk. Stir for about 2 minutes or until it thickens.
  3. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.
Layering and Chilling
  1. Layer the Ingredients: In a trifle bowl or a large serving dish, begin layering. Start with half of the Oreo crumbs as your first layer, followed by half of the pudding mixture. Repeat with the remaining crumbs and pudding.
  2. Decorate: Top off with the reserved Oreo crumbs and scatter gummy worms on top for a fun presentation.
  3. Chill: Place the Chocolate Oreo Dirt Cake in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours to set.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze the layered cake without the gummy worms and add them after thawing.
