  1. Gather all your ingredients and set up a clean, flat work surface. Lay out parchment paper or a cooling rack for placing your finished cookies.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips (or melting chocolate) and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
  3. Holding each Oreo by the edges, dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring that it’s completely coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. If desired, immediately sprinkle your choice of toppings onto the chocolate-coated Oreo before it sets.
  5. Place the dipped Oreos on the prepared parchment paper or cooling rack. Allow to cool at room temperature, or place them in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes to set faster.
  6. Once the chocolate has fully set, serve these delightful treats at your next family gathering or savor them all for yourself!

Notes

Store the Chocolate Dipped Oreos in a sealed container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to a month. Let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving to restore texture.
