Preparation
- Start by washing your strawberries and patting them dry carefully with a paper towel. Make sure to completely dry them, as water can cause the chocolate to seize.
Melting the Chocolate
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add the dark chocolate. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring gently between each session until it’s completely smooth. Be cautious not to overheat; chocolate can burn easily.
Dipping the Strawberries
- Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the strawberry on a baking parchment-lined tray. Repeat with remaining strawberries.
Adding Toppings
- If you’re using white chocolate for drizzle, melt it in the same way as the dark chocolate. Once your strawberries are set, drizzle the white chocolate over them and add sprinkles if desired.
Setting
- Allow the chocolate-covered strawberries to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens. For quicker setting, place them in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
Serving
- Enjoy your delicious creation! Serve on a beautiful platter, or pack them up as gifts for friends and family.
Notes
Choose high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping.
