Method
Preparation
- Rinse and dry the strawberries completely as any water can cause the chocolate to seize.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, break the chocolate into pieces and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
Dipping
- Holding a strawberry by the green stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's well-coated.
- Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
Topping and Setting
- If desired, immediately sprinkle the chocolate-covered strawberries with your choice of toppings before the chocolate sets.
- Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let the chocolate set at room temperature or refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes.
Serving
- Once the chocolate is set, serve them fresh and enjoy!
Notes
Store in the refrigerator on a tray covered loosely with plastic wrap for up to three days. These treats are best enjoyed fresh, as the texture may change over time.
