  • 1 pound Fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried Ensure the strawberries are completely dry before dipping.
  • 8 oz Chocolate (dark, milk, or white) Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Sprinkles Apply immediately after dipping.
  • 1/4 cup Crushed nuts Apply immediately after dipping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse and dry the strawberries completely as any water can cause the chocolate to seize.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, break the chocolate into pieces and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
Dipping
  1. Holding a strawberry by the green stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's well-coated.
  2. Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
Topping and Setting
  1. If desired, immediately sprinkle the chocolate-covered strawberries with your choice of toppings before the chocolate sets.
  2. Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let the chocolate set at room temperature or refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes.
