- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Mix until fluffy and smooth.
- Add sugar and egg to the mixture, beating until creamy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them out.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze in individual bags or containers for up to a month. Reheat in the microwave for 15-20 seconds when ready to enjoy.
