Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy and light, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one by one along with the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, blending until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.
Baking
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze baked cookies and reheat in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5-7 minutes.
