Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Feel free to substitute almond or cashew butter for a different flavor.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust amount to achieve desired sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Make sure not to overmix to keep the chocolate chips gooey.
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, protein powder, and vanilla extract. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Gently fold in the chocolate chips to ensure even distribution throughout the mixture.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the formed balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  5. Once chilled, your delicious Choc Chip Protein Balls are ready to enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer shelf life; just place them in a freezer-safe bag. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for about 30 minutes before consumption.
