Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly Cuts against the grain for tenderness.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the Stir-Fry
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute. Remove vegetables and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the marinated flank steak and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and oyster sauce, stirring to coat the steak evenly. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet, tossing everything together to heat through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh green onions if desired, and serve over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

To keep vegetables crispy, do not overcook. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for about 3 days.
