Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 large large chicken breasts, cut into tenders
  • 4 slices slices of Swiss cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 4 slices slices of ham
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs panko works nicely
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay the chicken tenders on a clean surface and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each tender. Roll tightly, securing them with toothpicks if necessary.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each rolled chicken piece in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs until well covered.
  5. Arrange the chicken rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly drizzle with olive oil or spray with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Pair with a fresh salad, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables. Use a tangy dipping sauce like honey mustard or ranch dressing for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
