Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, almond flour (or breadcrumbs), chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Crack the egg into the mixture and mix until everything is fully incorporated.
- Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet with some space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute before serving. Pair with your choice of dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
For a spicier kick, try using spicy chicken sausage. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 15-20 minutes.
