Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Grilled Chicken Breast, sliced Use halal-friendly chicken.
  • 1 large head Romaine Lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 0.5 cup Caesar Dressing Ensure it's halal-friendly.
  • 1 cup Croutons Store-bought or homemade.
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil, for drizzling

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and chopping the romaine lettuce. Make sure to spin it dry in a salad spinner to eliminate excess water.
  2. Heat your grill pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle a little olive oil and then add the chicken breasts. Season with black pepper and grill for approximately 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Once done, remove and allow to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine, sliced chicken, and croutons.
  4. Pour the Caesar dressing over the salad mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  5. Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese on top, toss gently, and serve immediately.

Notes

Substitutions: Grilled chicken can be replaced with grilled shrimp or chickpeas for a vegetarian twist. Grill your chicken a day ahead to speed up meal prep. Be careful not to overdress your salad; a little dressing goes a long way.
