  • 2 cups cooked, shredded Halal chicken You can substitute with cooked turkey.
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets Avoid using frozen broccoli for best results.
  • 1 cup cooked rice White or brown rice can be used.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) Ensure it's Halal.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For topping.
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs Preferably whole wheat for added texture.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, and milk. Stir well until fully blended.
  3. Add shredded Halal chicken, broccoli florets, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
  6. Evenly sprinkle breadcrumbs over the cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  2. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh broccoli instead of frozen to avoid excess moisture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days in the fridge, or frozen before baking for quick meals.
