  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded Preferably Halal.
  • 1 ripe avocado ripe avocado, mashed Must be ripe for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella can be used.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • to taste Butter or olive oil For grilling.

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients and set them on a clean surface. If you haven’t already, cook your chicken and shred it for easy mixing.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to elevate flavor.
  3. Add the shredded chicken to the mashed avocado. Fold them together gently until the chicken is well-coated.
Assembly and Grilling
  1. Take one slice of bread and spread the chicken-avocado mixture onto it, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese. Top with the second slice of bread.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add some butter or olive oil, then carefully place your sandwich in the pan.
  3. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  4. Once done, remove from the heat and slice the sandwich in half. Enjoy while it’s warm.

Notes

For substitutions, hummus can replace avocado for a rich texture. For a vegan option, replace chicken with grilled mushrooms or zucchini. Avoid overstuffing the sandwich to ensure even grilling. Store leftovers in an airtight container; they last about 2-3 days.
