Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over the top of the batter.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few crumbs.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cool, cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze tightly wrapped for up to 3 months. Reheat in microwave for 10-15 seconds.
