  • 2 cups brewed black tea Brewed strong for full-bodied flavor.
  • 1 cup cherry juice Choose a balance between tart and sweet.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Add to taste; consider using honey or stevia as substitutes.
  • to taste Ice cubes For serving.
  • as needed Fresh cherries and mint leaves For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brew 2 cups of strong black tea using tea bags or about 4 teaspoons of loose-leaf tea. Let steep for about 5 minutes.
  2. Once cooled, pour the tea into a large pitcher and add 1 cup of cherry juice. Stir well to combine.
  3. Sweeten the mixture by adding approximately 1/2 cup of sugar and adjust to your preference.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour or until chilled.
  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled Cherry Iced Tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh cherries and mint leaves.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Iced tea is best enjoyed cold; do not reheat.
