Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned. Break it apart with a spatula for even cooking. Once cooked, remove from heat and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cubed bread, and half of the shredded cheese. Pour in the egg mixture and stir until everything is well coated.
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture into the dish. Spread it evenly and top with the remaining shredded cheese.
Baking
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.

Notes
You can swap out the sausage for turkey sausage or a plant-based option. This casserole can be assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning.
