For the Toast
  • 4 slices slices of bread Choose a sturdy bread like baguette or sourdough.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Softened for easy spreading.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) Use your favorite cheese.
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, optional For garnish.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic until well combined.
  3. Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the buttered side of the bread slices.
  5. Place the slices on a baking sheet, cheese side up, and bake for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, and optionally sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, keep an eye on the toast while baking. If storing leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a toaster oven for 5 minutes. For long-term storage, freeze unbaked toast and bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
