Method
Activation and Mixing
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Set aside for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir well to ensure even distribution.
- Pour in the yeast mixture and melted butter. Use a spoon to mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Kneading and Rising
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preparation of Rolls
- Punch the dough down and knead in minced garlic, mozzarella cheese, parsley, and black pepper.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, shaping them into rolls, and place them in a greased baking dish with space between for rising.
- Cover the rolls with the cloth again and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the tops with melted butter right after removing from the oven, if desired.
Serving
- Let the rolls cool for a few moments before serving, and prepare for smiles!
