Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F) Make sure the water is warm, not hot.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Ensure yeast is fresh for proper rising.
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Brush extra melted butter for topping.
For the filling
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with Halal cheese or cheddar.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Activation and Mixing
  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Set aside for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir well to ensure even distribution.
  3. Pour in the yeast mixture and melted butter. Use a spoon to mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Kneading and Rising
  1. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  2. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preparation of Rolls
  1. Punch the dough down and knead in minced garlic, mozzarella cheese, parsley, and black pepper.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, shaping them into rolls, and place them in a greased baking dish with space between for rising.
  3. Cover the rolls with the cloth again and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the tops with melted butter right after removing from the oven, if desired.
Serving
  1. Let the rolls cool for a few moments before serving, and prepare for smiles!

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
