Dough and Filling
  • 1 can cresent roll dough (8 ounces)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Make sure it is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
  • 1 each egg (for egg wash, optional) For a golden finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Carefully unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate along the perforations to create triangles.
  4. Spoon a generous tablespoon of cheesecake filling onto the larger end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the crescent triangles from the large end towards the tip, ensuring the filling is contained.
  6. If desired, whisk an egg in a small bowl and brush the egg wash over the rolls for a golden finish.
Baking
  1. Place your filled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool for a few minutes before sprinkling with powdered sugar (if using) and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
