Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks Choose the crispy variety for that perfect crunch!
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Look for a halal-certified brand or make your own if preferred.
  • 1 piece apple, diced A tart apple like Granny Smith works well, but your favorite can be used!
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Ensure they are halal-friendly; dark chocolate is great too.
  • to taste sea salt A sprinkle on top adds a delightful finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, allowing extra on the sides for easy removal later.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, gently warm the caramel sauce until it’s smooth and gooey. Stir occasionally to prevent it from burning.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the pretzel sticks, diced apple, and melted caramel until well-coated.
  4. Pour the pretzel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top, allowing the heat from the warm caramel to slightly melt them.
  6. Sprinkle sea salt over the chocolate to enhance the flavors further.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the bark has set.
  8. Once chilled, lift the bark out of the pan using the parchment paper and break it into pieces. Enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks. For reheating, simply place it at room temperature for about 15 minutes to regain its original texture.
