  • 2 cups caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 piece apple, diced
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the unwrapped caramel candies and heavy cream. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and molten.
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and gently fold in the diced apple and nuts.
  4. Spread the caramel-apple mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and lightly press them into the mixture.
  5. Let the bark cool for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator for an additional 30-45 minutes or until fully set.
  6. Once set, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt, then carefully lift the bark out using the parchment paper and cut into pieces.
  7. Serve and enjoy your Caramel Apple Bark!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
