Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole ripe cantaloupe Make sure it's ripe for best flavor.
  • 2 cups water Use chilled for added refreshment.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Can be substituted with lemon or orange juice.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Optional; adjust to taste.
  • as needed cubes ice For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the ripe cantaloupe in half and scoop out the seeds.
  2. Use a melon baller or a spoon to scoop the fruit from the rind into a bowl, aiming for about 2 cups of fresh cantaloupe chunks.
Blending
  1. In a blender, combine the cantaloupe chunks, water, lime juice, and sugar (if using). Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Serving
  1. If preferred, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp.
  2. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the cantaloupe water, and serve immediately.
  3. Garnish with mint leaves or a slice of lime for an extra touch.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing as it may affect texture. Stir or shake before serving leftovers.
