Ingredients

Cookie Base Ingredients
  • 1 box cake mix (any flavor you desire) Choose your favorite flavor, such as red velvet, funfetti, or chocolate.
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure the butter is softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 large egg Room temperature eggs work best.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to add more for extra chocolatey goodness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract enhances flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, blend the softened butter and cake mix until well combined. The dough will be thick and slightly crumbly.
  3. Fold in the egg and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
