Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked buffalo chicken, shredded Ensure it's halal.
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 whole cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles Optional for creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce Check for halal certification.
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing Ensure it's halal.

Method

Preparation
  1. If you haven’t cooked your buffalo chicken yet, preheat your grill or stove. Cook the chicken until fully done, then shred it into bite-sized pieces. Toss it with buffalo sauce to give it that iconic flavor.
  2. While the chicken cooks, wash and chop your Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and celery. Aim for even sizes to make eating easier and more enjoyable.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the chopped vegetables. Add the shredded buffalo chicken on top of the veggies.
  4. Drizzle buffalo sauce over the salad mixture, and add ranch or blue cheese dressing based on your preference. Gently toss until everything is well combined.
  5. If you’re using blue cheese crumbles, sprinkle them on top for extra flavor before serving.
  6. Portion out the salad into bowls, serve immediately, and enjoy the crunchy, spicy goodness.

Notes

For substitutions, you can use feta or omit blue cheese altogether. Mix in avocado for healthy fats. Dress the salad just before serving to keep it fresh.
