Ingredients
  

Fudge Base
  • 1 cup peanut butter Use creamy peanut butter for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar Gradually add to prevent clouding.
Chocolate Topping
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet or dark chocolate works well.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For smoothing the melted chocolate.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the chocolate flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and softened butter. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth.
  2. Gradually add in powdered sugar while mixing on low speed until fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom.
Chocolate Layer
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
Setting and Serving
  1. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  2. Lift out the fudge from the dish using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
  3. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months. For a unique twist, try using almond or cashew butter.
