  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika optional
  • to taste salt and pepper
For the filling
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully integrated.
  3. Carefully slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket for stuffing.
  4. Generously spoon the broccoli mixture into each chicken breast pocket, securing it by fastening toothpicks or tying with kitchen twine if necessary.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the stuffed chicken. Sprinkle paprika for a touch of color if desired. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
  1. Place the stuffed chicken breasts on a baking dish and transfer them to the preheated oven.
  2. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink in the center.
Serving
  1. Allow the stuffed chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For ingredient substitutions, consider using spinach, kale, or roasted red peppers instead of broccoli. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). To keep chicken moist, cover with foil during the first half of cooking.
