Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen broccoli florets If using fresh, steam before adding.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Plus extra for topping.
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using fresh broccoli, steam it until tender, about 3-4 minutes, then chop.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, steamed broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheese, milk, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread evenly, and top with additional cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize by adding cooked chicken or your favorite vegetables. For a cheesier experience, add more layers of cheese.
