Method
Preparation
- Slice the bread and brie cheese, and make sure the blackberries are clean and dry.
Assembly
- Lay one slice of bread on a clean surface. Place slices of brie on top and add a layer of fresh blackberries. Top with the second slice of bread.
Cooking
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add one tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt, coating the bottom of the pan.
- Carefully place your sandwich in the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom turns a golden brown.
- Gently flip the sandwich using a spatula. Add more butter to the pan if needed and grill for another 3-4 minutes on the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melty.
- Remove the sandwich from the pan, let it cool slightly, then slice it in half and serve!
Notes
Wrap leftovers tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat using a skillet over low heat with a bit of butter to regain crispiness.
