Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with half of the brown sugar and the cinnamon. Let it sit while you prepare the crumble.
- In another bowl, combine the oats, remaining brown sugar, and flour. Cut in the cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Assembly and Baking
- Grease a baking dish and pour the apple mixture into the bottom.
- Evenly sprinkle the crumble on top of the apples.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
- Optionally serve with a side of yogurt or a drizzle of honey.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10-15 minutes.
